Sooo…I’ve been a really bad blogger. Not much has been going on with my concierge life. Or even my jogging life. I’ve slowly gotten back into running since the marathon. I’ve run a couple of 3 milers and one 4 mile run. I just signed up for this race in December so it’s time to pick up the pace again.

I’m running it with my mom and dad. Yah
I’ve also contemplated running the Shape Up RI Half Marathon in May 2011 in Providence. Again, with the ‘rents and hopefully with David. I’m going to follow the Hal Higdon half marathon training plan for intermediates. I have the mileage down but I really want to work on my speed. My best half is 2:16; I’m really hoping for a sub-2 this next time.
As for my concierge-ing, the dinners have been few and far between. This Wednesday I’m going to Bistro du Midi, one of my favorite southern French restaurants right on the Public Garden, so I’ll definitely be posting about that.
Well, last week was my 2 year wedding anniversary with David. This year we decided to go to Atlantic City. We didn’t have the funds to go to Vegas, so that was the next best thing! We had also never been and thought it would be fun. And it was. Here are some of the highlights:

Pat’s King of Steaks in Philadelphia at 2am

The Atlantic City boardwalk

Cooking School! At Harrah’s Atlantic City Resort

Stuffing herbed butter under the chicken skin (BTW – during the class I kept telling David “Honey, camera”. I wanted to document!
)

Mixed greens salad with beets, walnuts, goat cheese and citrus dressing

Yummy bistro dinner

Apple and apricot tart with vanilla ice cream

We feast!

A beautiful day…

…on the beach

Happy Anniversary Sweetie!
We also played our hands at the casino. David did really well at the poker tables (doubled his $$ twice) and I didn’t do too bad on the slots. I only played about $5 at a time, but once when I put $10 in, I came out with $21! My favorite machines were the Wolf Run and the Dinosaurs (you know, if you’re ever at Harrah’s, or Las Vegas, or Foxwoods
)
Do you enjoy gambling or playing poker? When I’m on a roll, the slots can be fun, but I’m a cautious better through and through. David tried to convince us to keep betting red on the roulette table because eventually we’ll win. Yah, wasn’t going to risk that. But $5 here or there for me isn’t so bad. And he’s really good at Texas Hold ‘Em so I’m not usually too worried when he goes to the tables.
Any anniversary that really stuck in your memory? Or a clever gift to celebrate each year? I always like coming up with ideas of what we can do. Not always a trip, but something fun.
Hope everyone had a good Halloween! Christmas is just around the corner!
