Only 2 weeks from today until my half marathon!!! One more long run of 11 miles on Tuesday (I only ended up running a 10k yesterday) and then it’s scaling back until the race on the 19th! And I’m so excited to have found out that they will have pacers during the race too. I’m hoping to stick with the 10 minute milers for the first 10 miles and then see if I have enough energy for the last 5k to just book it.
In addition to getting the ol’ legs and lungs ready for the race, it’s a good time to start looking at adding some tunes to my iPod. This month has some great beats for pounding the pavement.

But, the new year (and an apt title) have given it a second wind. Also, Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera got a hip-hop makeover, courtesy of Mac Miller. Outasight got their first taste of chart success. And, Adele turned in a performance so forceful that most folks didn’t seem to mind that the song’s more of a ballad than a traditional workout jam.
