You’ve Got Mail

by Alaina on June 24, 2012 · 4 comments

I’m definitely that person who loves to be the first one at the mail box to get the mail, or who gets excited every time a package is dropped off. Recently, because of house purchases, most of the packages have been for David, but lately I’ve been getting a few with my lovely name gracing the label. Smile

A few weeks ago, I was contacted by Swanson Vitamins to see if I would be interested in trying out some of their products. They offer not just vitamins, but health foods too and even pet products. I can honestly say that I have never really used vitamin’s but a few of their products did pique my interest. The Swanson Vitamin company did give me a $25 coupon in return for my honest opinions. The initial purchasing was very easy, as their website is easy to navigate. For $25, plus shipping, I was able to get 4 great items!

I ordered the Arrowhead Mills Buttermilk Pancake/Waffle Mix, Maranatha Crunchy Peanut Butter, Leg Vein Essentials vitamins, and Biotin vitamins. The very next morning, I cracked open the peanut butter and it was so creamy and crunchy! I’ve heard great things about the brand and it definitely was as good as everyone says.

The leg vein vitamins were for my “jimmy legs.” They always seem to have a weird feeling to them, especially when I’m sleeping. I also have spider veins so I don’t know if this will help, but so far the weird feeling in my legs have subsided. The biotin was touted as being good for hair, skin and nail health. I have thin hair and nails so hopefully these may help strengthen that? We shall see!

The pancake mix has yet to be opened. I’m hoping for some ‘cakes tomorrow morning. Smile with tongue out

Do you take vitamins?

So, as you all know, my spring and summer has pretty much consisted of working at the hotel and working on the house. I definitely look forward to any time off when I can get a chance to meet up with friends or potential new friends! And that should be happening when I attend the Healthy Living Summit this August! I’m really excited that it’s in my home city so that I don’t have to travel far.

When I signed up, there were options to either construct a recipe using Wild Harvest products or to simply receive information about their product line. I shop at Shaw’s so I know about a few of my favorite products (I love their cereals!) but I certainly wasn’t expecting this on my doorstep:

I love it! There’s granola, animal crackers, salsa, spices, black beans, peanut butter, raisins and applesauce. The animal crackers have already been demolished, and the peanut butter and salsa have been enjoyed. And this was sent to me just for saying that I wanted to learn more about Wild Harvest! Very cool. Smile Thank you Wild Harvest! Can’t wait for the summit!

What’s the coolest, most unexpected thing you’ve gotten in the mail?

I take a variety of vitamins….fish oil, omegas, digestive enzmyes, and b12 are the ones I take daily but I also fit in Dong Quai and Vitamin E on occasion. Oh and I take a chewable multi every day and my adora calcium but it’s more because I love the taste.
So excited to excited to crack into the Wild Harvest stash!

I got the same package you did and I’m really excited to make my recipe tomorrow night! I hope it turns out! Getting mail is lots of fun especially now when everything is so technological!
