I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Mine was very laid back…and delicious. In the morning, I got up bright and early to run the Whitin Five Miler with my parents. The race started at 8:10 and although it was chilly, at least the wind had died down.
I was hoping to upload some pictures, but apparently the computer I’m on won’t let me. But thankfully David bought me my early Christmas present, which I’ll be getting on Tuesday: a new laptop! I can’t wait to get a laptop again. It’s been over a month since my old one crashed. It’s tough to be in a one computer household.
The afternoon was very low key before David and I headed to his parents for dinner. I provided the cranberry conserve and apple pie. Dinner consisted of turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, sausage stuffing, crescent rolls and the conserve. Very simple yet extremely delicious. Dessert was the apple pie, a blueberry crisp that my sister in law Grace made, as well as her pumpkin cookies.
For entertainment, we played Scrabble before dinner and throughout the entire evening, there were movies playing. We “watched” National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (David’s favorite!), Elf, Christmas with the Kranks, and It’s a Wonderful Life. We are so ready for Christmas! I already have our tree up and look forward to decorating this weekend. And do some shopping. If I can brave the crowds.
I hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday!!
