BAA 10K Training–Week 2

What a GORGEOUS day out today! I definitely need to take advantage of it. Yesterday was just as beautiful and I took my 3.5 mile run through my hometown.

I also received the professional pictures from the Cox 5K! Looks like I finished strong.

This past week of training was definitely a successful one. The beautiful weather helped motivate me to get outside and my gym membership proved to be extremely useful for my cross training days. Smile

Monday: Strength & Stretch – Pyramid Arm Workout from Nutrition Nut on the Run
Tuesday: 2.5 miles @ 23 minutes @ 9:15 pace
Wednesday: 32 minute cross training @ 9.4 miles on the stationary bike
Thursday: 2 miles @ 18 minutes @ 9:05 pace
Friday: Rest Day
Saturday: 40 minute cross training @ 3.14 miles on the elliptical
Sunday: 3.5 miles @ 34 minutes @ 9:39 pace

Sunday’s run was a bit brutal. It was hot in the morning and there were a few more hills than I’m used to. I did have to stop a few times to walk but I finished the last half mile by running it at a 7:45 pace! I guess I just wanted to get it over with.

How was your weekend? Do anything special for Mother’s Day? I spent a lovely lunch with my parents, grandmother and uncle.
